Mahjong Solitaire: Mahjong (Mahjongg, Mah Jong) solitaire is a free puzzle game based on a classic Chinese game for four persons. The goal is to remove all 144 tiles from the board. The objective of the Mahjong Solitaire game is to remove all the tiles from the towers. Mahjong rules allow the player to remove pairs of tiles of the same kind (same graphic) if they have the right or left side free and are unblocked or with no other tiles on top. Some versions may apply a different principle. The 144 tiles are arranged in a special four-layer grid with their faces upwards. A tile that can be moved left or right without disturbing other tiles is said to be exposed. Exposed pairs of identical tiles are removed from the grid one at a time, gradually exposing the lower layers to play. The aim of the game is to clear the grid by pairing up all the tiles. The game is finished when either the grid is empty, or there are no exposed pairs remaining. Mahjong solitaire can be played either solo, or with a partner in which case the aim is either to accumulate the most pairs, or to be the last one to match a pair. Game Play Procedure Players should open up new tiles with every pair they eliminate. Haphazardly choosing obvious pairs, such as those from the top levels, will often end the game prematurely (i.e. lose) by leaving essential tiles under cover. In most Mahjong solitaire games there are four tiles for each character, flowers, trees, animals, people, seasons and other images are different and usually have one of each kind; you can match and remove tiles of the same category (tree with tree, flower with flower, etc.) There is a strategy to complete the game, it is better to be selective and remove the tiles that will open open options, and not the ones that will block the game.
