The Trivia Challenge trivia game consists of a series of ten timed multiple-choice questions. Each question will have an answer set of five options, with one of the options being the correct answer.
The game has 8 rounds, with 20 questions per round. Each correct answer is worth 5 points. Five incorrect answers in any round and you're out. You are also playing against the clock. Each round has a 3-minute (180 seconds) time limit. Finish 20 questions in less than 3 minutes and you'll be awarded 1 bonus point for every second under 180.
All game scores measure accuracy (i.e. the percentage of right answers) and speed (the time needed to complete the game). As such, players who answer questions accurately and quickly receive the highest scores.
To ensure the highest level of competitive fairness all tournament participants will receive identical ratios of level 1, 2, and 3 questions. At the completion of each game, players will receive a detailed performance analysis highlighting their percentage of correct answers, the total time of their game, and the overall score. Players will also be able to compare their score to the scores of other tournament participants, their historic scores, and the overall high scorers of that particular game.
